X-Roads (Crossroads) Warriors FC is a community outreach football organization that is committed to football excellence, academic promise and social development for the youth and young men in the community. Our motto is “KNOWLEDGE-FAITH-VICTORY”.
X-Roads emphasizes that football is more than a game, it is a way of life enjoyed by millions of people around the world regardless of their sectarian, national, or socio-economic differences. X-Roads challenge all of its stakeholders, from players and supporters to patrons and competitors to strive for the best in life and to always remember that “example is the best teacher”.
X-Roads is developing a range of supporting community initiatives, we are also currently undertaking a mammoth task to upgrade the Somersall Field (Warrior Park) so that it meets the basic requirements of a community facility for our young people, notably our young males, who aspire to achieve excellence in football and seek a practical alternative to drugs and alcohol abuse.
The club also offers academic subject tutorials, life skills and counselling programs to encourage young people to plan for their futures, assist their families and become productive members of the global community.
VOur vision is to produce honest, reliable, hardworking citizens who have the academic and social skills to make significant contributions to their families, friends and community. For over 25 years we’ve worked with young men who have gone on to complete their college education, acquired good jobs and or become responsible citizens.
MThe mission of X-Roads Warriors F.C. is to provide a healthy environment where youngsters of all ages, ethnic and religious backgrounds will be able to learn the necessary football and social skills, along with moral and ethical values, which will ensure their success. Our goal is to produce honest, reliable, hardworking citizens who have the social, academic and leadership skills to make significant contributions to their families, friends and community.
FX-Roads use the universal language of football to bring positive values to all segments of the Smiths Parish and the Bermuda public at large. Our core values emphasize sacrifice, leadership, discipline and hard-work. In addition to the excellent junior and senior football programs, X-Roads functions as an outreach program for young people to interact and experience a sense of camaraderie, support and positive community life.

KNOWLEDGE – FAITH – VICTORY
X-Roads Warriors FC was founded by Mr. Saleem Talbot in 1992 with a vision to see a society in which all people, regardless of race, religion, and social-economic status will live together in an atmosphere of tranquility, respect, and prosperity. X-Roads was founded with this vision at the forefront, and he sought partners who shared his vision and were prepared to work hard and sacrifice in order to build strong families and neighborhoods free of drug and alcohol addiction. The club was started from the grassroots level with Mr. Talbot coaching young Bermudians for 20+ years and has grown in leaps and strides over the years, notably with X-Roads winning the First Division Title in 2016/2017 season, securing their promotion to the Premier Division where they are currently competing. X-Roads is currently based in Smiths, Bermuda and has its home base situated at Warrior Park.
XFC currently competes at the highest level in the Premiership. However, the club got its start by providing youth players from different clubs an opportunity to play in the well-known Kenny Thompson youth tournament held during the summers in the 90’s.
The young Warriors enjoyed much success competing in the youth leagues, winning the inaugural Kappa Youth Tournament in 1998 and U-13 league and KO champions in the early 2000’s. In 1999 and 2000, X-Roads competed in the clubs first overseas tournament, participating in the Gothia Cup (Denmark) and Tivoli Cup (Sweden) making it to the semi-finals in both competitions.
In 2004, X-Roads made the next step by entering senior football by competing in the First Division in the 2004/2005 season, qualifying for the Shield Cup final in that inaugural season.
In the 2016/2017 season, X-Roads was promoted to the Premiership by winning the First Division title. Since X-Roads Warriors FC’s inaugural first season they have continued to compete at a high level winning 1 league title, reaching 3 Shield Cup finals, 1 FA Cup final and 2 Fair Play Team awards.
